We understand Seattle will be a destination for many of our guests! We so appreciate you taking the time, and spending the money, to come celebrate with us. We’d love to show off a bit of our city while you’re here. We’ll be hosting a Welcome Party at one of our favorite waterfront restaurants. Please feel free to come by for dinner & drinks to kick off the weekend!

FYI - Parking is limited here! Especially if it’s a sunny day. We recommend carpooling and/or taking an Uber, Lyft or taxi if you are able.

DIRECTIONS

We don’t expect gifts by any means (your presence at our celebration is more than enough!), but if you’d like to, we’ve opened up a Honeymoon Fund for our guests to play a part in our post-wedding adventure. <3

When we moved to Seattle, we quickly started a shared note with a running list of restaurants we wanted to try via word-of-mouth, TikTok, walk-bys - you name it! We’re proud to say the list is still going strong with literally over 100 spots tested and reviewed (it’s our main hobby). Here are a few of our favs if you have time to kill throughout the weekend:

CORNELLY: Best pizza in town! And next door is a fun tiki bar that houses our highest-rated espresso martini. Fun fact: where we went for dinner before Jeff proposed on the walk back home <3

SAINT BREAD: Delicious bakery for breakfast near the water - walking to Gasworks Park afterwards is always fun!

OXBOW: Best bagel in this otherwise bagel-less city.

BOTTLEHOUSE: Cutie wine bar in the Madrona neighborhood.

CHIHO BISTRO: The soup dumplings are truly out-of-this-world.

FAMILYFRIEND: Unassuming but appropriately popular spot in Beacon Hill with a life-changing smash burger.

ARTUSI: Yummy pasta in a laid back bar setting. The meatballs are a must!

ELYSIAN BREWING: Jeff’s favorite place to walk and get a beer on a Sunday.

YONDER CIDER & BALE BREAKER TAPROOM: If you have lots of time, and really want to get silly, we recommend a Ballard Brewery Bar Crawl. Start here! Ask for a map at any brewery and they’ll help you out!

What is the dress code?

Our most asked question! Our wedding dress code is semi-formal cocktail attire with bright colors highly encouraged. So… do with that what you please!

If you know us, then you know that we love to dress up! And even more, seeing our friends and family all dressed up makes our hearts sing. We’d love for our wedding to be a semi-formal event, and if you are in the mood to take a fashion risk, by all means, this is absolutely the time  to do it!

Please no casual denim (unless you’re recreating the denim look worn by Britney Spears to the 2001 American Music Awards).

Can I bring a plus one?

Our wedding venue is a gorgeous and historical restaurant built at the turn of the last century. Unfortunately, due to its smaller size and overall fragility, we have a strict capacity for guests (that we are fully maxing out!). We would love for this to be a more-the-merrier type of party, but our venue simply cannot accommodate any more guests. Only the names listed on the invitation envelope are invited to our party at this time. We thank you for understanding!

Can I bring my kids?

We love you and the mini versions of you. As noted above, due to our venue’s strict capacity limits, the only children in attendance of the wedding will be our nieces and nephews who are playing a special role in our day. We hope this will give you hard-working parents a much deserved night off! Complete with an espresso martini or two.

Is there parking at the venue?

There is no reserved parking at The Corson Building for our guests. The main parking options include street parking in the Georgetown neighborhood, which does tend to get fairly congested and competitive on weekends. Please plan to carpool, Uber, Lyft, or taxi to the event.

Check back closer to the wedding date for an rideshare code you can use towards your journey - on us!

Will the celebration be held outdoors?

Yes! But worry not, everything is covered from rain and there are plenty of heaters and temporary walls should the weather do what the weather does in Seattle. Plan to pack a light jacket just in case.

What time should I arrive?

We are doing a small, private ceremony with immediate family and a few close friends earlier in the afternoon. If you are joining us for that portion of the day, you can find information on the time to arrive and other details of this event within your formal invitation.

For the rest of our lovely guests, please plan to arrive at 5:00pm to start celebrating with us at our Cocktail Hour - complete with an open bar and hors d'oeuvres. A seated, family style, 4-course meal is to follow, beginning promptly at 6:00pm.
